What Is The Cheltenham Festival?
The Cheltenham Festival is held at Prestbury Park racecourse and runs over four days. It is second only to the Grand National in the British racing calendar and the majority of the best British and Irish horses will enter.
The main events occur across the four days, the features being chases and hurdles. Willie Mullins is definitely the trainer to watch as his stables have produced more Gold Cup winners than any others before him. However with some late injuries it is possible that other stables might upset the applecart.
So what are the highlights each day that we should be looking out for and what Cheltenham Festival Enhanced Bet Offers should we go for?
Champions Day – Tuesday 14th March. The opening day of racing features the most important hurdle race of the season; the Champion Hurdle. This is a fast race over two miles.
Ladies Day – Wednesday 15th March. Ladies are encouraged to dress in their finest with a £10,000 prize being awarded to the Best Dressed Lady! The race of the day is the Queen Mother Champion Steeple Chase, over two miles with the feature being fast jumps.
Stayers Day – Thursday 16th March. There are two big ticket races; the Ryanair World Hurdle over 3 miles and the Ryanair Chase over 2 miles.
Gold Cup Day – Friday 17th March/St Patrick’s Day – The big event of the day is the Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup Steeple Chase which is over three miles long and is considered to be the supreme test for a thoroughbred. It includes jumps and speed and requires stamina up the final hill.
This should be an amazing week and hopefully one where the bookies will take the battering that they’ve had for the last couple of years.
So as we say above, keep checking back for the best Cheltenham Festival Enhanced Bet Offers and have a great week!
