1. Cristiano Ronaldo
It’s no surprise really that the Portuguese hitman is being seen as the most likely candidate for the Golden Boot at the Euro’s this summer. The 31-year-old has been in the form of his life for almost half a decade now, and with 51 goals to his name over the course of the last season, Ronaldo is an automatic candidate for most of the individual awards that are up for grabs in France. Hot on the heels of his second Champions League win with Real Madrid, Ronaldo actually looks to be growing younger by the day. That should be good news for Portugal as they have a lot depending on their star man and it will be interesting to see how far they go in this competition.

2. Thomas Muller
Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller occupies the second spot on this list of some of the most talented footballers on Earth. The German international heads into Euro 2016 in red hot form after enjoying an extremely successful season with the Bavarian giants. With 32 goals scored in just 49 appearances, Muller has enjoyed the pressure of spearheading Bayern’s attack over the course of the previous campaign. He has also been Germany’s go-to-guy for goals ever since Miroslave Klose hung up his boots a few years ago. His country is truly lucky to have a poacher of his stature amongst their ranks although things become far easier for the player thanks to the caliber of his teammates.

3. Antoine Griezmann
Young French hotshot Antoine Griezmann has taken the world of football by storm since his big money move from Real Sociedad to Atletico Madrid. If his first season with Atletico was splendid, then his second season was beyond imagination. The 25-year-old scored 32 goals in all competitions and led his side to third place in La Liga and second place in the UEFA Champions League. Like most other world-class forwards, Griezmann has the weight of his nation on his shoulders even though it’s fair to say that he has the luxury to depend on some equally talented individuals who will be representing his side alongside him.

4. Harry Kane
It’s been a while since an Englisman found his name in such illustrious company and there have been very few candidates deserving of a spot on the list of favourites for the Golden Boot at the Euros. 22-year-old Spurs striker Harry Kane is the young spark in question and it’s not at all surprising to see his name on this list. The boy has done supremely well this season after managing to score 28 goals in 50 appearances. How far England manage to go at the tournament in France depends a lot on the performances of this young man, and it will be very interesting to see how he does on such a big stage.
