What Is The Form Like?

lewandowskiI think we can all agree that Portugal are actually very lucky to be in the quarter finals of this competition. After finishing third in the group and not winning a game they then played a Croatia team in form. However, that Croatian team that had impressed so much then decided to be absolute pony in the 2nd round. They didn’t wake up until the 117th minute of the match after they’d gone a goal down, and by then it was too late.

Poland too have not been as impressive as we thought they might. Their star man, Robert Lewandowski, has not hit the heights that his reputation forebode. Like Zlatan for Sweden and Harry Kane for England, we expected much better things, such as the occasional goal. Milik is playing well for them but is that enough to send them through to the semi-finals, where they’ll play Belgium or Wales? They squeezed through on penalties against Switzerland in another game that wasn’t exactly one for the purists.

What’s Going On With Cristiano Ronaldo?

ronaldoYet again, the ‘best player in the world’ (source: Cristiano Ronaldo) has flattered to deceive in a major tournament. Like Lionel Messi for Argentina he doesn’t seem to be able to express himself as he’d like and, despite 2 goals against the terrible Hungarian defence he’s done very little.

This could of course mean that he is going to explode onto the scene on Thursday evening and bring a barrage of goals into the competition. I’m not a fan of him as a person but it would be great to see something special happen to brighten things up.

Who Is Likely To Win?

It is going to be a very tight occasion, especially with so much at stake. Both teams will come into this game believing that they can win the match, and I’m sure the bookies will reflect this. I believe that the game will certainly be low on goals and will probably go to extra time, so my bet is that it’ll be 1-1 after 90 minutes. I’m also fairly certain that it’ll be 0-0 at half time as the teams look to give nothing away in the first 45 minutes.

Bring a book just in case.

We’ll continue to give you the Latest Poland v Portugal Odds Enhanced Odds and hopefully that will give you enjoyment if the football is a bit rubbish.
