Get Your Free £50 In-Play Bet For Barcelona v Manchester City!

The Champions League returns this week in what sees one of the key fixtures for Man City in this year’s campaign. They take on Barcelona in the Nou Camp and hope to get a favourable result as they seek to top the group and avoid a tricky second round tie.

This is undoubtedly the tie of the round and will be extremely tough for a City side that have lost on all four occasions when the two sides have met.

The bookies have seen this as an opportunity to provide you, the punters, with some great offers for this match. It sees for starters the return of the Bet365 FREE £50 in-play bet for all customers; new or existing. This is a great offer that they do every so often.

What Should I Bet On?

Messi To Score Anytime Enhanced OddsBoth sides going into this match have had some patchy form of late so it could be a very interesting match. Man City have struggled to win a Premier League game recently, losing to Spurs and drawing with Everton and also Celtic in the last round of CL games. They still have a lot of talent in that side though, with Kevin De Bruyne and Aguero coming back from injuries. Shame that they seem to have forgotten how to take penalties though.

Barcelona are of course an excellent side. Their 7-0 demolition of Celtic was a huge statement. It’s not all gone their way though as was seen from their surprise 4-3 defeat to Celta Vego a fortnight ago. They bounced back with a 4-0 crushing of Deportivo La Coruna though last weekend and remain favourites to win this match.

As mentioned above, Man City have lost to the Catalans in the four matches they’ve played against them since 2014. Seems to be an annual fixture between the sides, although normally in the second round of the competition.

barca

Barca have continued to have their three strikers as their focal point, and why not? Suarez is still breaking records for Barcelona, which is odd following the number of records that Messi broke in recent history. Between the league and CL he’s scored 8 goals in 10 matches whilst Messi has 8 in 7 matches, including the hat trick against Celtic. Neymar seems poor in relation to this but he’ll be as much of a threat in this game.

I think there will be goals in this match for both sides. Barca don’t have the strongest defence (they normally don’t need one) whilst Man City have really struggled to keep a clean sheet this campaign. I can see De Bruyne being the difference for City but Barca running out 2-1 victors.

For me I would look for a goalscorer (Suarez anytime) plus result (2-1) mix and a safer bet of both teams to score. Should be a great game. Enjoy!
