Chelsea v Manchester City

Stamford Bridge

21st February, 2016

Kick-Off: 16:00

Chelsea are all set to host Manchester City for their Fifth Round match in the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge. The last time these teams met each other in the FA Cup was in the 5th round of the 2013/2014 version of the tournament when Manchester City emerged victorious with a two-nil win.

Overall, whenever these two teams have met, Chelsea have had the upper hand with a slightly higher win percentage. Manchester City will be missing the likes of Fabian Delph, Jesus Navas, Kevin De Bruyne and Samir Nasri while Bacary Sagna, Eliaqium Mangala and Wilfred Bony  are all expected to return on matchday.

Chelsea may also be without the likes of Kurt Zouma, Radamel Falcao and their skipper, John Terry. The teams’ Barclays Premier League form guide puts Chelsea at an advantageous position as they have ten points from their last six matches while Manchester City have eight. Will Chelsea be able to overturn their recent FA Cup history against Manchester City or will history repeat itself?

Shrewsbury Town v Manchester United

New Meadow

22nd February, 2016

Kick-Off: 19:45

Shrewsbury Town from League One will be hosting Manchester United from the Barclays Premier League at New Meadow Stadium. Their respective league results show that Shrewsbury Town have been able to secure seven points in their last six matches while Manchester United have secured eight.

These two teams are to face each other for the first time ever and it might be an exciting match with lots of thrills and spills. Manchester United will be without the likes of Matteo Darmian, Ashley Young, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marcos Rojo, Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw while there is a possibility of Adnan Januzaj, Phil Jones and Guillermo Vallera returning on matchday.

Shrewsbury Town also have a couple of reported injuries as the likes of James Wesolowski and Jack Grimmer are doubts for this mammoth clash Manchester United hold the upper hand in this fixture as they are the stronger side on paper while Shrewsbury Town will be planning to cause an upset for their opponents.
